Nathalie graduated with a Bsc in Nutritional Medicine from the University of West London and also has a Bsc (Hons) in Psychology. She has over 13 years of clinical experience working 1-1 with patients and in the wider community.
Nathalie adoptsa functional medicine approach in practice, drawing on evidence based research to drive clinical decisions for patients. The functional medicine approach to healthcare is to understand the patient’s story (time line) and the clinical imbalances at the root of their symptoms. Nathalie's strengths lie in understanding her patients, the complexities of their lives, and to help them find a way to make sustainable changes.
The Institute for Functional Medicine teaches health care professional’s how to apply the basic principles of functional medicine practice through an intensive 5 day training course called Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP). Nathalie attended and completed the AFMCP-UK training in London in 2017 and has completed all of theAdvanced Practice Modules (APM's), with certification to complete in 2024.
She has a passion for Nutrigenomics and attended GeneSnippers (2018) training -Nutrigenomics,a functional medicine perspective. In 2019 she passed the competency assessment in clinical nutrigenomics and is today an experienced and competent Nutrigenetic counsellor (NgC). She has also trained with Lifecode GX and continues to research and train in the field of Nutrigenomics.
Genetic testing is best used in conjunction with other metabolite testing, and always a though understanding of the patients history and current health concerns. Nathalie offers free 15 minute sessions to provide more information on her approach to genetics.
Nathalie's experience is broad from children's nutrition, gut and immune imbalances, hormone health and metabolic health.
